Okay, so I made a stupid mistake and now I realized I just need to enroll in Math 16B instead of 1B, but the class + waitlist is already full.
Obviously, there's nothing I can do but wait it out, but I was just wondering whether I still stand a chance of getting into the class during the adjustment period, or are my chances pretty much shot? Cause I have heard that classes like math tend to have a high drop rate during the first few weeks...but I'm not sure if that's enough.

well the tuesday thursday lecture is wide open, except for the fact that all of the sections are full which makes no sense and i’m really frustrated about that. b/c you can’t sign up for lec and waitlist the section…why the heck do they not have enough sections!?!

math classes are always like this: they open enough sections so that 50%-75% of the max enrollment can get in. then open up more sections later as they get rooms/get higher demand to fill up the remainder of the seats.

i think their logic is that rooms are in pretty big demand and they dont want to open new sections until they know there are enough people in the class and it makes sense to open a new section.

just observe the OSOC Sp2011 daily until they open new sections and nab one.
