Okay I've decided to take math 1B next semester. I did my research and what a surprise both professors sucks. Not like it matters anyways, I've learned my lesson after waiting years for a good math 1B professor. It is the GSI that matters. So here is the question, is there anyway to find out if my GSI is any good? Any suggestions on math 1B GSIs?

no way to find out until the first day of class even who your gsi is...good luck to you, really.
on second thought, i suppose if you were really eager, you could possbily email some old gsi's if you know any for some inside information on who is teaching which discussion section. my math 53 gsi from some years back did say that he didn't know which section he was teaching or even which class (ie. 1a, 1b, 53 or 54) until he showed up on the first day, though.

Rob Bayer is a fantastic math GSI. I had him for Fall '07 and he was great!

Yeah Rob is the best math GSI you would ever have in your life...
I took 54 after 1B because he was teaching it LOL even though I don't need 54 at all
