Math 2 Content

Hey guys I'm going to take the Math 2 in a couple of days, and I was just wondering what I needed to study exactly?
Specifically, are conic sections, three dimensional geometry, complex numbers, matrices, sequences and series, and vectors on the test a lot? Thank you!

-Complex numbers: yes, although it’s mostly basic concepts.
-Matrices: yes, again, mostly basic.
-Sequences and series: yes.
-Vectors: yes.
-3D geometry: yes.
-Conics: Don’t think so.

In addition to that, there’s regular arithmetic, algebra, plane/co-ordinate geometry (including circles and hyperbolas), trigonometry, pre-calculus (trig, limits, etc), functions, statistics, sets, logarithms and a bit of logic. You sound like you’ve been doing some other maths syllabus (A Levels?). I’m in the same boat, and I recommend looking at a study guide like Barron’s or Princeton review. It’ll run you through the different areas you need to study and give you example questions and a few practice tests.

Bump

The things you mentioned are mainly precalc topics i believe. There really wasnt much on that. I personally thought there was a larger focus on algebra and a bit of geometry. i would look at Kaplan’s or Princeton for some practice tests. I personally used Barron’s but I thought the content in that book was far too difficult to compare tot he real test.

@xc4life‌ yeah im getting murdered on the practice tests, and some of my friends that got 800’s told me barron’s is much harder so i hope im prepared haha, and thank you @lostint
