Math 2 or Biology Subject Test?

Hi! This is my first post on CC. I’m a junior in high school trying to decide whether to take the Math 2 subject test or the biology subject test. Honestly, I am much more interested in the humanities, but I’ve been advised that colleges (particularly schools which require 3 subject tests) like to see at least one math or science subject test in addition to the exams in Literature and Spanish which I will also take. I want to know if the SAT prep I am currently engrossed in would help me with the Math 2 test, as this would be important for me to consider. If somebody could describe their experiences with either or both tests, and how much preparation is required for each, it would help me very much. Thank you!

Colleges that require or recommend subject tests require or recommend two not three, except for Georgetown, which recommends three, and Northwestern for its special Integrated Science program, which requires three SAT or AP scores in math, physics and chemistry. Also, there are some colleges that generally do not even require subject tests that require two or three from home schooled applicants. An SAT math and science is often required or recommended if you are applying for engineering and in some cases a science major. A math may also be required or recommended for some other programs like business or architecture. Otherwise, any two are usually acceptable although some recommend one related to the major you are seeking, and some have noted they are unimpressed by a high score in a language SAT if you are a native speaker of that language.

To determine what is actually needed for whatever major you want, you should check the particular colleges to which you intend to apply.
