Math 2010 SAT Subject Test

Everyone said it was easy, but I thought it was ridiculously hard!! Especially the last few questions.

What do you think the curve is looking like this month? What is it like in the past? If i left 11 blank (and assuming I got some wrong) is there ANY way I can get at least a 700?

Lets use this forum as a fresh start to a few long weeks of panicking before the scores come out...

Level 1 or Level 2?

level 2

my bad! totally forgot there was a level 1…

How many do you think you missed?

probably around 5

That would be about 680.

uggh great… meaning i’ll have to retake it.
Is that with or without the curve??

What do you mean?

well aren’t these tests curved?? so sometimes an 800 is up to 9 or 10 skipped (instead of 5 like most test prep books say)

The curve is inherent in the scoring. There is no “pre-curve” score and a “post-curve” score. One can never skip 9 or 10 and still get 800.

Hmm… well my friend who took the may sat math level 2 skipped 9 and got an 800

When? I am skeptical.

To Silverturtle…my son left 5 blank and thinks he missed 5. What is his predicted score?

Assuming a standard curve, he would get about 750.

well my friend could have been lying… oh well I’m praying for that 700 though. what if I skipped 11 but only got 1 or 2 wrong. would that get me at least a 700?

11 omitted and 1 wrong would be 740.

Thank you…you always know the answer to my questions and you have always been right. So, next question…May 2010 Math 2 curve…do we know it?

wait silverturtle where are you getting these conversions from?

But thanks so much for all this help! =)

The released practice subject tests have raw score conversion charts
