math 20c? freshman needs help, gangnam style!

Hey guys, I'm planning to take chem6a, cat 1, and bild 3 so far for fall qt. I feel like my schedule is on the light side and I'm considering taking math 20c. I think I have a decent foundation since I took calc ab/bc in hs and received 5's on both tests.
Also I believe its the only calc class I need, human bio major, so it would be a better idea to take it sooner rather than later.
Still I have two concerns:
1. the professor is tba, so I fear being stuck with a hard/bad teacher.
2. it seems to be a hard transition because of transfers and more experienced students in the class? also honestly i was so lazy senior year, I dont want my transition to college to hurt my gpa right off the bat.

any help is appreciated!
i apologize that my first post is a thread, i honestly forgot my account info after abandoning this site after junior year. x.x

i’m a freshmen taking math 20c too. there is one other professor named james lin p but curve is harsh. It’s super easy to get a c and super hard to get an a. but his tests are very predictable. he takes questions from the homework and the notes. he’ll be teaching this fall.

honestly, from what people are saying, math 20c seems easier than calc bc in hs. if you’re trying to get an A, you have to be the top 20% of the class which I think is fair.

oh my bad, i meant 10c, but im considering 20c too. i appreciate the help though!

10C will be even easier than 20C. Most math classes in the 10/20 series will not have their professor until after you register so might as well give it a shot. You can also always drop or change classes later on.

Looks like the staff positions for 20C have professor names in them now. Of course the sessions with the popular professor is full.
