the second one is just a solution manual, i think they have additional problems in there to help you out when studying and whatnot. the first book is the actual textbook~

im in this same situation for math 2b but either way you can’t buy that package online so just go into the bookstore and ask them about it. but they both say solutions manual which is confusing…

i emailed my professor and she answered me right away.
she said the first package contains all the material we will need for math 2a, 2b, 2d, 2e.
the second package contains the material for math 2a and 2b only.

no i dont think its necessary but its helpful to check your work. i dont know if the text book by itself has answers to questions, it might have the odd numbered answers in it.

sorry, i didn’t the description carefully!

and havefaith, the solutions manual isn’t necessary, but when you buy the package, it comes with a disc and you register the book online and then you have an electronic solutions manual. they provide quizzes and tutorials. pretty useful

package means textbook + solution manual.
if you can find a used book on fb or somewhere else, it’ll be cheaper.
However, if you can’t, just get the second package.
