ok i did the isbn uci book store "trick" from another thread on here (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-irvine/773691-isbn-numbers.html) and got the isbn for the single variable calculus set aka Math 2a/2b book, and got this isbn # 9780078166365. But i have googled it and checked on many textbook websites and don't get any results or even a book title. I checked on facebook "sell your textbooks directly (uci)" and many people have "Single Variable Calculus (3rd Edition -- Smith & Minton)"
math 2a/2b book but no one has a book with the isbn# 9780078166365. So my question is does anyone know if they are coming out with a brand new edition this year? or what is up with this isbn #. Does anyone know if the 3rd edition book is actually the one being used for math 2b this year? Is there anyway i can find out for sure what the book is? Thanks!

[Department of Mathematics - UCI](http://www.math.uci.edu/courses/calculus.textbook.php)

There’s the listing of the books we are going to use. Apparently, they are indeed bringing in a new Calc textbook; however if you are taking Math 2B fall 2009 you still use the old book. I looked at the prices of the Smith and Minton on Amazon and from what I could tell the UCI bookstore actually has it for cheaper. Check for yourself though, I could be wrong…

thank you so much Ultex!!! That’s exactly what i needed!!
