Out of curiosity. . .
. . . what did you guys get on math 2C. . . im just wndering if my score is ridiculously low for MIT. . .710. . . .? How bout you?

A 710 falls on the low end of the 58th - 74th percentile range of the people who took Math 2C overall...so you scored better than most people that took the test, but still nothing spectacular compared to other MIT applicants...Don't worry though, they take a lot of things into account other than these tests though.

800 on Nov, 04 (think it was 90%?)
Not big of a deal like hamburger said. Overall matters i suppose

800 a long time back

It's not a bad score, but what are your other scores? What math are you taking? You can also retake it in January.

800

but SAT scores aren't of particular importance to MIT. A 710 certainlly won't knock you out.

740.......

740...other scores? what classes r u in?

800...but with math2c its not that great becuase of the huge curve...so a 710 is a little low, espicially for MIT, but if your other scores are high, I wouldn't worry about it.

IIC - 790, IC - 770. Apparently 770 has much much higher percentile :) And I did not know which one to choose for application ;).

Supply both scores :)

ha, they'll see all of them anyways though, right?

anyways, what are your interests at MIT? I think your math score's importance will depend on how it relates to what you want to do.

They want to see Math IIC because the smarter kids take that and it's a more advanced test.

Plus, they want to see Math IIC even if I got the reason wrong.

heh.
It is always better to have better scores, but look, as they said many times get something appropriate and do not worry about that...

my score's gonna look too low: 700 (oops)

780 .

800 -- but it really doesn't matter; stop killin' yourself over it!

750..... :(

Oh there WILL be no frowning at a 750 here!! I will not allow it!

:

samwise, URM or female?

Here we go again.

I had a sub-700 math IC (!!), did not submit a math IIC score, and am a white male with professional parents. Explain how that fits in with your affirmative action theories, sir?

Sometimes it really IS more than the scores.
