<p>for people who have taken math 31b - are the discussions completely necessary? (i.e. were there weekly quizzes, stuff like that?)</p>

<p>i'm worried cause i might not be able to attend due to scheduling conflicts. currently i'm in kahn's 31b lecture, but i could possibly switch to moschavakis, ouelette, or kucherenko. The lecture time isn't a problem for me, its just the discussions that tend to conflict...</p>

Hard doesn’t mean anything because all these classes are curved. Kucherenko is an excellent lecturer and knows lots about integrals. She will make certain exams challenging in order to force a distribution (like if everyone does well on both midterms, she’ll make the final hard). Otherwise, her tests are fair and doable.</p>
