Math 32A Textbooks

Hey, sorry for another textbook thread.

I will be taking Prof. Liu for math 32A. For some reason, on the UCLA textbook site, it doesn't say Liu, but instead says staff. Under it, there are three books listed:

Stewart (New Low Price)
Calculus (5th) W/ Cd Ilrn Hmwrk & V-mentor

Stewart (New Low Price)
Calculus (5th) W/cd/ilrn/single & Multivariable So

Stewart
Sg Multivariable Calculus (5th)

Do I really need to buy all of those? If not, which one or ones will I need? I am doubting that I will need all three.

Whichever says "Required" you need. Whichever says "Optional" you don't really need unless you want to get it.

The site says the first two are required, but will I truly need both for 32A?

If you buy both required books thru UCLA, I'm assuming you can return one in the first coupla weeks if it looks unnecessary, no?

If you're buying from the UCLA store, get the second option. Students rarely use V-mentor, according to BoHall in some other thread I forget which.

I just got a Calculus 5e book from half.com, hope that will do.

Also, does anyone know if Physics 1A with Whitten is the 12th or 11th edition of University Physics?

Sorry to bother again on this topic, but what exactly is the difference between "Calculus (5th) W/ Cd Ilrn Hmwrk & V-mentor" and "Calculus (5th) W/cd/ilrn/single & Multivariable So". If I am not misunderstanding the meanings, can't I just get the 5th ed calc book itself and the solutions manual isntead of ordering both? Or are the two completely different textbooks?

thx in advance
