Math 33a

so whats the general opinion about math 33a? im considering taking it in spring quarter. ive heard its not that bad compared to 32a and 32b...has anyone taken it and would like ot share their opinions of it?

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s easier than 32A, as it gets into some more theoretical areas. It’s definitely easier than 32B.

imo, about same difficulty as 32B. There are some concepts which were difficult for me to conceptualize (when discussing transformations in 3D). However, there are some computations involved too.

I find many of the concepts in 33A useful in my engineering courses. Eigenvalues/eigenfunctions are especially important if you take more advanced engineering courses (to solve PDE, BVP, etc.)
