math analysis, and UC admission question.

I've taken the minimum 3 year requirements for math, but decided to go for the extra year in my junior year of high school and took math analysis. The first semester i got a B,the second a D.I am currently retaking the course to make up the D,but i am failing the class at the moment. So i came here for advice, should i continue the course?Would this backfire on me for not attempting to take the course again? How would this effect me from going into a UC such as UCI,UCLA,or USSB?
P.S Im doing the whole year, since math analysis isn't a type of subject when you could simply jump into the second semester.

That will hamper your chances, especially for UCLA.

You need to make up that class. A “D” on your transcript is very detrimental to any of your UC applications. See if you can find a tutor to help.

What if i fail,or get a D in the course trying to retake it?Wouldn’t that ruin my chances even more?

do not think of failure, keep it up and have confidence. Go to the teacher’s office hours, get tutor, work hard, do whatever necessary to pass that class.

Thank you for being supportive, I’ve always been contemplating about this and its been stressing me out.Thank you for taking your time and responding,i really appreciate it!

Well, getting a D or F in reported senior year courses will likely result in admission to a UC being rescinded. So do you best in the course.

The other issue is, many majors do require more advanced math than high school algebra 2. Some sort of quantitative reasoning graduation requirement exists at many schools; such requirements typically require more advanced math than high school algebra 2.
