Math Answers!!!

damn it... well i guess one wrong isnt too bad haha. i dont care much about math for this test anyway... i just took it to improve CR/W.

i got 3 too... also what'd you geet for meediian it hink its 11 or 12 i wrote 12 but think its 11

its 11, it asked for an ODD interger values

It was 11.

Oh yeah, I got 105 as the answer for something in the Grid-In section.

Yeah 105 was an answer for a geometry problem.

does the SAT take the highest score overall or the highest score in each section if u take it more than once

was the fence post question part of experimental?

No, the fence post was not experimental.

I only had 3 math sections and I had that one. However, if you had the other version of the test then you wouldn't have had it.

no. fence was grid-in. grid-in is never experimental (unless you have 2 grid-in sections.) but i had the fence post also but only one grid in, so if you had 2 grid-ins, then ur experimental is the one without the fencepost

The solution to this problem is simple.

First, observe that x(x + y) is therefore odd (factoring).
Then, observe that for a number to be even, it must have a factor of 2 in it.
Then, observe that the factorization of x^2 + xy dictates that x and x + y must not have factors of 2 in them. (If either of them have a factor of 2, then the whole thing becomes even).
Therefore, x is odd and x + y is odd.
Finally, bubble in whichever answer choice was I and III.

xy + x^2

even * odd + even^2
even + even
even

Incorrect.

The even/odd question was I and III.

The only combination that works is an odd x with an even y.

Take x=3 and y=4 for example. 3*4 + 3^2 = 12 + 9 = 21 (odd)

I and III is definitely correct.

This isn't a solution, it's solely an example...

What was the answer to the question that asked which variable on the number line will multiply to give 1? I put A I think. I put in values and got 1.125, and the rest negative I believe.

For the weird symbol problem I think I got 1/3.

I think the xy odd one answer was D, I and III

Yes. It was definitely I and III.

I was just giving an example of how I and III works. That was definitely the answer though.

can you explain the median one again. i got 12 also but i didn't understand ur explanatiion

waht was the problem with the 2 parallel lines and it asked for the degree measure of Y

and had like two equations... one was like 2x + 10 was it like 75 or somethign?

105 deg (10 char)

105 degrees 10 char? whats char? haha also ii ghouth it was like 65 or 75? but i was really confused on that one... does anyone remember the parallel lines problem and can tell me how to get the asner?.

als o what other probalems did everyone remember taht haven't been discussed yet
