Hey I have preview in like 1 week so i need to take both of these tests before. I have 2 questions though: 1) If i got a 3 on the AP calc exam, do i even have to take the math placement test? and 2) What is the difference in classes for if I fail or pass the chemistry test? thanks

Yes, it is recommended that you take the math to see where your skills are in UF’s eyes. You can always show them your AP score though if you don’t do so well on the placement.

The chemistry exam places you in either Intro to Chem or General Chem.

If you have the score report sent to you by Collegeboard you don’t… With your passing score on the AB test, there’s really no reason to take UF’s placement test. UF’s trying to nickel and dime us to death. With the three you’ll place into MAC 2311 (Calc I) automatically.

It’s not a matter of passing/failing the Chem placement exam. There are 27 overall. Of those 10 are simple math/algebra questions. You need to answer 6 chem questions and 6 math questions right to place into CHM 2045.
