<p>The waitlist that matters is the waitlist for the discussion section. If you are high up on that waitlist you have a good chance. If you are in the discussion, then you are in the lecture.</p>
<p>If you are low on the discussion waitlist, either move the discussion time to one with a lower waitlist, an open section or take a different class.</p>

<p>Well, if the discussion waitlist is full then you are f****d. Go choose a different discussion time with a smaller waitlist or you'll be taking 16A next semester. Sorry.</p>
<p>How can you check if they've opened new sections? I cant choose the 'add a class' or 'add to waitinglist' features on telebears anymore for 16a because im already on the waitlist. </p>
<p>Also, the online schedule of classes is not very updated.</p>
<p>Lastly, even if they do open another section, I can't sign up for it without dropping out of my place on the waiting list. Since I'm number 1 on the waitinglist, im afraid when I go to sign up for the opened section, it is already full and I lose my good spot on the waiting list (I'm 1st).</p>

<p>you can choose to switch sections. i think you wont get dropped until you choose another section, but i could be wrong.</p>
<p>If you would like the current enrollment status on the Online Schedule, click "Click here for current enrollment information and course restrictions" at the bottom of every course description. It gives you up-to-date info, which the Online Schedule can't give since it is only updated nightly.</p>
<p>okay my problem is that I can't get on to the wait list for the discussion. When i pick my lecture time, all the discussions say full and consequently it doesn't add me. How do I get on a discussion wait list ?</p>
<p>Theres an option on the toolbar on the left. It's for waitlisting a class. You need to waitlist both the lecture and discussion, not just the discussion. Then put the ccn for the lecture and it will give you the choices for discussions that you can waitlist.</p>
