Can you switch into an easier one if the one you're in is too hard. I've signed up for multivariate calc, but looking back i notice that my hs teacher really taught towards the test and college calc is done with much more rigor. I I feel unprepared for multivariate, will I be able to switch into the second part of BC(31B i think)?

I'm actually in the same boat as you, but I'm going to try to stick it out. If you look at the course syllabus for both 31B and 32A, it doesn't look like 31B is a huge precursor to 32A.

besides rules of integration and differentiation, wat would u need to do for 32A?

im in your guys' boat. i took these classes at community college.

Well I just took a look at the general course outline:

32A has no integration -- that's 32B. It's mostly differentiation with some other stuff thrown in. The only merit in taking 31B if your qualified to take 32A (assuming you got a 5 on BC) is to give you a quarter to adjust to college. I can't see how learning the concepts in 31B again would prepare you mathematically for 32A.

and im just gonna go ahead and use calculus, 5e, which has all the chapters in that order in it.

should this be fine?

i was thinking i would just go compare wtih a 6e textbook in the libarry and see if there're any differences. because im only takign 1 more quarter of math, it seems like a waste of $200 for allt hat junk...
