Hi,
I was accepted into UIUC for mathematics as a James Scholar(thinking about cs but from what it sounds getting a double major at UIUC is funky). However, I might not get the chance to visit there and I wanted some information on UIUC. What is the James Scholar program? What is the math department like? stuff to do around the university? etc.
I would love if some current or past UIUC undergrads (or grad students) could give their insight.
