math-computer science vs. math-scientific computation

i'll probably be majoring in math of some sort, but ultimately, i'd like to end up in computers.

can someone explain exactly what math-scientic computation would be and the potential careers associated with the major?

Math-CS is math-theory/programming (ie. P=NP derivation theory)

The other, no clue. Maybe a focus on MATLAB programming or something.
