Math course question?

I am trying to decide what advanced math course to take next year. I am registered for BC Calculus (AP) but am thinking of AB Calculus (AP) to ease my schedule a bit (5 other AP classes). I could also take AP Statistics but am not sure if I need a Calculus class. I am planning on a science (Biology) major if that makes any difference. Does anyone know the requirements for ND on this? I do want to make my app. as strong as possible, but also don't want to mess it up with a bad class...help!

I'd take Calc. BC. Especially if your going to major in some science or math area. The first part of the class is really easy; in my opinion you don't really reach anything difficult until the second semester, by which time your application will already by sent. Plus, i think it'd be a bonus in the eyes of admission officers.

It's probably a bonus... but I took AB and was accepted. Either one looks really good.

I'd go with Calc BC over AB plus Statistics. Stat is one of the easiest APs, to my knowledge, and BC really isn't as hard as some make it out to be.

If you don't think you can handle BC, then I would suggest taking AB rather than statistics. But I would agree with Dorian_Mode, BC isn't all that much harder than AB. My school requires AB as a prerequisite to BC, so I have taken both. The AP exams are remarkably similar.

D (now a member of ND class of 2010!) took AP Calc BC and AP Stats at the same time...If you are eligible for both, then take them. You can do it -- especially with a username like "Reach4Stars" :)
