I want to major in civil engineering at Dartmouth, but I am currently in a low-level math class (trigonometry). I have the option to take pre-calc this summer going into senior year but would much rather participate in an internship. If I end up taking pre-calc senior year will it hurt my chances of admission?

I don’t quite know. I’d think it would if you were going into a field that requires extensive math, yes. I’m in precalc now but I’m not doing anything related to math so I don’t think it’s a huge deal for me. I think you could easily do it over the summer, though, it really isn’t hard so far and with trigonometry you already have a strong basis for calculus.
