math courses

I was reading over my course requirements, and it says:

Based on your schedule of required classes, you should select:
One quantitative reasoning (MQR) course or elective (3–4 credits)
One first-year writing seminar (FWS) or elective (3 credits)
One physical education class

I'm already taking a FWS so that and PE are no problem, but I'm a bit confused about the MQR part. Does that mean that I have to take a math class in the spring or can I simply take an elective to fulfill the requirement? Also, they want us to choose classes that don't conflict with required architecture classes that take up most of the afternoon. This narrows things down to Calc 1, 2 and MATH 1920. I have a 5 from the Calc BC exam, so I'm feeling a bit skeptical as to whether or not it would be a good thing to take the first two options, but then I'm not sure that I'm ready or want to take 1920.

Any help plz?

Are you sure with a 5 in Calc BC you aren’t exempt from this?

Calc BC is equivalent to Calcs 1 and 2 in A&S (or just Math 1910 for engineers)

Also, there are a lot of other courses not strictly in Math that satisfy MQR.
Look into Econ for something off the top of my head.
In aptstudent you can look up courses with MQRs.

13) How do I receive credit for Advanced Placement (AP) courses?
AAP allows students to apply AP credits toward out-of-college elective credits only. AP credits cannot be applied toward specific course requirements…

Would Math count as an ‘out-of-college’ elective or a specific course requirement?

It clearly calls for either: “MATH 1110 or 1106 or Out-of-College Elective.” I’m pretty sure that means you can use your AP credit as an out-of-college elective for math.

there are also logic courses in philosophy that satisfy MQR
