How come in the blue book, it gives a range... like... for example, a raw score of 52 (around there)... is "700=780"? I mean, that's a really, really big range. What is it on the real SAT in general for math? thanks.

-1 = generally 780
-2 = 770-760
-3 = 740
-4 = 710

thanks! =)

I missed 3 and left 3 blank and got a 710. that may have been a good curve though.

I got -5 (4 wrong), and wound up with a 710. I hear that's a typical curve.

ugh what the hell. I omitted 4 and got none wrong and got a 720. i thought there were supposed to worse penalties for wrong answers than omitted answers.

If you'd gotten those 4 wrong, DaneC, then you'd have scored a 710.

by -4 on the curve i wrote i meant the number of questions wrong, NOT the number of points off....

-1 is not a 780 fool

It was in March.

and in June!!!!

Yeah, I would know -1=780 (June)...cries...crosses finger for rescore...lol

sam41990...i am also hoping for a rescore...i think a lot of us have our fingers crossed :)
