Math curve...

I think I missed 2 (put 3/8 unshaded instead of 5/8 shaded; and 6pie instead of 12 pie because i thought the 3pie was the diameter of the big circle....arr....i need to learn how to read).....would that get me down to a 760? :(

a lot of poepl are saying even lower than that more like 740 but i dunno for the last january old SAT the math curve was 800 800 780 so u might be in luck

wow so they actually curve it depending on how well everyone did?

do you guys think -1 will give me a 800?

It's possible, but don't count on it.

yea id say more like a 790 780 still great

I'm pretty sure they do it on a bellshaped curve where 72.3 percetile is 550....

Listen, have hope the country is dumb and this year's scores are skewed so badly they boost us up! :) If everyone bombed math then we get a good curve--I HOPE. Then again, if the curves are made before... ...

lol yeah i heard some kid say he only answered like 4.....ON THE GRID_INS section LOL I think we might get an awesome curve

Yep, they calculate all this stuff with a bell curve.

And I did the exact same thing on that yin-yang circle question.

ok, i think people are really missing the larger picture

everyone on these boards is a good student, and probably got 1850+

so consider the sources

of course, everyone did well and thought it was easy....NO ONE HERE IS STUPID

so quit freaking out about the curve; 1 freaking wrong WILL NOT equate to 780

scores will be ridiculously low if that was the case

ivy has a point...

not really considering the PSAT curve of 800 760

exactly . . . 1 wrong on some of the practice tests is 780 or worse

Now, that curve was jsut brutal.

who takes the PSAT? smart people of course.....dumb ppl arent forced to so i think ivy is right

that's true, but oh well, there's no use in debating the curve since we won't know until like a month from now

i got two wrong last year and ended up with a 760 on math....

the circle one wasnt fair, it was drawn really unclearly so i only saw the circuference on the outside circle shaded, so i answered 12pi/2 = 6pi no fair

that section i didnt even get to the circle one i only did 12 out of 16 on that one =( every other math i fully completed though -_-
