math curve

do u guys no if the MATH curve will be generous... I think i missed 4 points on the math in all what would that be score wise???

would it be around 740ish??

for sati? there is basically NO CURVE....( well at least on the march one)...i think your math score will probably come out to be 750ish
i got one wrong..and didn't get 800 :/...so no curve's going to help you out here :(

thnx and i heard may test is easier to do good than march test b/c less smart people took it and it was harder.

On the last test, what scores did raw scores of 50 and 51 give?

well, on the old SAT, i missed 4 raw score points total (missed a total of three questions, and then they do the guessing correction); that gave me a 720, so i'd say low 700s.

i got a 45 out of 54 on the march test and it was a 670.

Yes, the math today was very hard. I was aiming for 760-800 and I think I got one or two or three wrong. I caught a lot of mistakes and fixed 3 questions... and that usually doesn't happen. The other test was a lot easier though, I hear. There should be a very generous curve for us, I am expecting. Some of the questions were the hardest I have ever seen for SAT math. So, don't be worried, if it was hard for us, it was hard for everyone else taking it too, so it doesn't matter, the curve is always going to be the same percentage-wise...

Your score is going to be 720-760

that sounds encouraging. what do you think a 48/54 would be then?ballpark figure.

Well it all depends which test you had. If you had the test that my friends and I believe is the hard one, then a -6 would be a -7 with the guessing, so I'd say around 700. If it was the easier one then it would probably be 660-680.

which one do you think is the hard one... what were some of the questions?

and i mean -6 total (including the guessing).

chemistry, which form do you consider the hard one?

It's really hard to predict the math curve in may. In March 6 wrong was a 690, I think Math was a little more difficult in May...but all of this is just speculation and opinionated, we shall not know until May 23rd :)

mm... a 690 in march. it should be more or less the same in may. interesting. did they ever release the march curves for all sections? that would be useful to ease obsessively apprehensive students such as myself. =)

I think my form name was 4BBP? It had a passage on Fermi's extraterrestrial theory in the reading section if that rings a bell. I heard that the grammar on the other one was very hard, but the math was very easy and verbal was normal. The essays were the same.

In March, 2 wrong was 760.

haha yup, on my test (experimental writing) math was easy, verbal was normal, grammar was...hard

chemistry, I think 4BBP was the AP form name.

lol--testing for me is officially over for the month.

I'm hoping it will be generous and still possible to get an 800 missing one.

Lol yeah, sorry, way too many AP tests wthis week. I had the math experimental, form 2.

In March, 3 wrong would be a 720. And 2 wrong + 1 blank was a 740.
