Math (December SAT 1)

I tried factoring and i ended up with 8(2-2) which is still 0.

wait, i never got the tennis nor the language section, i think it was experimental for you guys

(c-d)(2x+a) gives the answer.

^ You took the SAT again, ChoklitRain!?! After your 2370?

Oh, and about your location “top of the bell curve”? Wouldn’t that mean you’re just average? :)

ndguy, yea i got 8 also. I tried it with base as 12 and height as both 2 and 4.

was the question like this?

2xc - 2xd + ad - ac ???

awesome, anyone else remember any others? seriously, we have so many different questions, alot of us had different SATS

so whats the answer for the xc one? 0 or 8?

Oh damn i was -8. I got my parenthesis mixed up.
yea it was like 2xc - 2xd + ad - ac with c-d =-2 and some other stuff

-8.
10 char.

gotcha! Thanks guys - I did get 10 for the celsius (phew), 10 for the dotted line problem, 2 (or was it 3?) people not taking a language, and I put 1 for the angles question but I have no clue if I got it right or wrong.

Did anyone get a weird question with numbers paired with each other that used something like 1/(n+1) and n+1?

Or what about some question (this might not be completely accurate) - (r+1)^2 + (s-1)^2=0?

and the CDs that the guy needs to sell…was that 134; the how many CDs he needs to sell in order to earn more money than if he were being paid 10 an hour for a 40 hour work work?

Was it me or was math waaay harder than october sat? Actually, in my opinion, I thought the whole test was substantially harder. (I had to take the sat again today because I misbubbled, yes, MISBUBBLED, section 9 math on the october SAT)

Sazari Oh damn i was -8. I got my parenthesis mixed up.
yea it was like 2xc - 2xd + ad - ac with c-d =-2 and some other stuff

*** is this lol i seriously dont remember getting this question

SugarIncarnate: WOOT yeah those were the exact answers i got for the questions cept for the 1/(n+1) one because i dont remember that question

I thought this math was way easier than others. The only troubling ones were the 2xc - 2xd + ad - ac and F(2) ones.

then it would be
2x(c-d) + a(d-c)
dont you multiply (d-c) by negative 1 in order to have (2x + a)(c-d)??

i guess we again need a separate thread for int’ls…

There goes your 2400, ChoklitRain. It was 8.

oh yeah - and another question: there was one about how f(2) = 8, f(x) < g(x) < 10 for all values of x, give one possible g(2) value…would 9 work?

I got 8 for the triangle also

Can anyone explain the

if F(-x)=-F(x), then what does F(2) equal …
or whatever it was.

I said there wasn’t enough information

9 woudl work
