Math (December SAT 1)

the q with the cube cut by a plane almost made me shoot myself in the face, rofl.

n>1, k<1 = 1/(n-2) < 1/(k+1) (not completely sure)

This is the only one I remember from the ones you mentioned.

It’s correct.

What was the answer asking for the perimeter of a triangle? It had one triangle, and another triangle within it that was formed by connecting the midpoints, and then another triangle within that one that was formed by connecting the midpoints of the middle triangle

I said it was 1/4. I believe it was a grid-in

this is funny because i put 1 for the f(2) = f(2)-2 question

but had faulty logic.

go me.

yeah i got 1/4

math was hard! i got tripped up on the angle 1, 2, 3, 4 one too. I put 2 with some reasoning of alternate interior and supp angles

nbafan135: im pretty sure angle x = 1, took me a while but i drew the picture differently and as i make angle x bigger/smaller angle 1 gets bigger/smaller

voodoo santa - i remember the ratio of faces question - i got 1/2 as well; and the tournament was 30. Yay :slight_smile: The other questions I don’t remember getting, but I know for sure I had an experimental math - did you?

the q that was -8…was 8 an option as well?

SugarIncarnate: yeah my first 2 sections were math 20 questions each…but yeah we had the exact same test i believe…well at least on the math part.

Choklit: yes it was

anybody remembers a question which they showed a circe and they said that the diameter was 4 along the y axis and the radius was 4… it was question number 2 on a section. it said what is the center… what was it?

^Yes, 8 was an option, but -8 was the answer.

choklit rain

i dont know. i would think so but im not too sure.

ariger:
i think it was (0.-4)

do you think we had the same test?

ariger (0,-4)

No, the tournament matches one was 15 since AB is the same as BA, then you have to divide 30 by 2, which is 15.

Also, was the section with the angles as the last problem experimental? I’m hoping it is since I probably missed 2 on that one.

EDIT: I have all my answers stored on my Ti-89; will post questions if anyone needs to settle a dispute.

oh ok, i believe so MIRAGE… did u get 1636 as a grid in answer? thats the only i kinda remember

Quicksandslowly: WAIIT wat? i got 30…there was 6 dudes and they had to play each other TWICE
A -> BCDEF
B -> CDEF
C -> DEF
D -> EF
E -> F

All this = 15, and u multiply by 2 = 30 no?

I got 1636 for a grid in.
