Math diff eq course

<p>I haven't found a CC post relating to this so I hope someone has the answer to this quick question:</p>

<p>What's the difference between math 286 and 316 besides the fact that 286 is labelled honors?
Is one more proof-based than the other, or perhaps one has mostly sophomores and the other mostly juniors?
Or would the material be pretty much the same...</p>

<p>Despite the lower number, I believe 286 is more proof based than 316. I haven’t taken either so I am not entirely sure. I’ve heard from most people that 316 is pretty easy. I am not sure about 286.</p>
