OK, so i've never studied calculus the US way, not even in English, and I have no idea how ready I am for either. What's worse, I can't tell which is harder and which one is worth more. so here are some questions:
1)what is the lab thing all about? is it just solving problems in groups and then preparing a report? or is it more theoretical and analytical?
2)the 31L syllabus seemed more application oriented while 41 was more hardcore math. which is more appropriate for an intended econ major?
3)also 41 combines more stuff, like 2 courses in one semester (31L+32??) (but is taught by Hodel). does this automatically equal a heavier workload? I have studied only some of the concepts in the 41 syllabus and most of the 31L. will math41 be manageable? should I risk it and take 41 or stay on the safe side?

please excuse the chaotic nature of this post, it's just that I am totally dazed since math is my most intimidating subject and i dont wanna get stuck with a course I can't pass. on the otherhand I don't wanna go over the same old boring stuff that i took this year in HS.
