Math dropped 90 points. Retake?

I've taken the SAT twice, once in October 2009 and once in October 2010. The first time I got a 2240 (740 CR, 800 M, 700 W) and the second time I got a 2280 (770 CR, 710 M, 800 W). The superscore is 2370, which is quite a significant disparity given my math drop. I'm not too worried because I've gotten a 36 on ACT math (October 2008) and 800 on the Math II subject test (January 2010) as well as qualified to the AIME, but would testing again and using score choice be better if I got over 2350 in a single sitting?

No, this is not a troll.

When you apply, your scores will not be the reason if you get rejected. So, I don’t think you have to retake, your superscore is amazing! Good Luck with College Apps!

No need to retake you are fine. The superscore is just as indicative as a single score given your SAT II and ACT and past SAT math history.

You’re fine. A 36 math, 800 Math 2 and AIME qualifier accounts for the disparity. Good luck with admissions.
