<p>what's the difference between the joint major and just doing a double major of math and econ?</p>

<p>for math /econ its 8 math courses and 7 econ coureses ... this amounts to about 52 units... you then have about 2 elective classes ( you need 60 upper division to graduate)... where as if you double major you would need to meet the additional unit requirments because you would need more units to graduate. </p>
<p>I hope that makes sence, i am having a hard time explaining myself.</p>
