I am looking at majoring in exercise science, and am trying to decide what math I should take my senior year of high school I do not know where I want to go to college yet, but I have a 31 on the ACT so I have options. I am looking at UW Madison for sure though. I am currently in AP Calc and am taking the AB test in May. I can take Calc 2 through our community college next year for free and get dual credit, AP stats at school, or not take any math and focus more on science classes. I am kind of tired of math, so if I don’t need more for my major I would prefer not to take any. Will Calc 2 or AP Stats be useful at all in relation to my selected major? I am also considering being an exercise physiologist for my career.
stats
I know that if you want to be a personal trainer, you only need to be able to count to 10.
My son was an exercise science major but switched to something else because he thought the job prospects weren’t too good. There wasn’t much of a math requirement for the degree - only algebra, trig and statistics.
Thanks everyone! I’ll probably try and change my schedule to AP Stats.
