Math for March SAT 2009

Without breaking any embargo rules and discussing any questions in particular, how do you think you did? do you think it was easier or harder than the january SAT? any testing anecdotes or proctoring stories?

do tell!

i didnt take the january SAT, but i thought this was really, really easy.

I found reading to be hard as Jan test(I suck at reading) , math and writing were easier

The writing was easier than the Jan SAT’s? Wow it must have been really easy then. Jan SAT’s writing curve was -1= 76 MC score :(

what the helll, I thought these were harder than Jan SATs.

I thought that writing was a joke; I’d be really, really surprised if I got even one wrong.
CR was the same as I feel it’s been on all the practice tests.
Math was a little harder for me than normal… I’m not sure why, I just felt pressed for time a little more on this test.

Overall I thought it was very easy, especially the math; I’d be surprised if I got a question wrong on that one.

i personally found the math, and to a lesser extent the writing, to be easier than i expected, while i found the cr to be slightly more challenging

I thought the sentence completions were kind of hard.

I don’t know… I always 800 math but this time I left 2 blank. They just didn’t click.

cr and writing were much easier than january. math was much harder imo, i left 3 fill-ins blank >.<

I thought the math was slightly harder.

On the essay I did not finish my last sentence, but there were only about 3-5 lines left, and I noticed I had a grammar error on that last line after time was called. I think I aced the math section again. Writing felt really easy, but I shouldn’t get my hopes up. Critical reading was alright in the beginning, but I lost a bit of focus as the test went on. I had two CR sections one after another so I hope the one I did worse on is the experimental. Oh, and I also did not like the sentence completion questions…they’re my weakness.

We had an extra 5 minute break because the sub (?) who came in to relieve our proctor did not know if she could start the next section.

math and writing felt a lot easier, although that could be because I actually prepared for a few hours

CR seemed a bit harder, but it’s less important for me

Sorry, 20 min sections are never experimental.

Velleity - yes, experimental I believe.

I had two CR back-to-back as well, the latter of which I found quite difficult (and thus hope was experimental). I’ll wait until the embargo’s lifted to discuss, but yeah, the second one better have been exp.

I did bad. I finished ten minutes early on one CR section. It was odd. But I figured it was just a short/easy one. Little did I know, I skipped 9 questions. And I had four CR sections. So one must have been the experimental. Go figure. My worst subject is the one I screw up and have the most on.

Math was easy. I’m pretty sure I nailed all of the easy and mediums. Maybe even a few of the hard ones. Writing was decent. I threw in Martha Stewart in my essay. Booyah??

surprise surprise, I had CR as experimental yet again. I thought the vocab was insanely hard, and I was confused on two of the passages…

arrhghh maybe it wasn’t 20 minutes then. i will still hold out hope.

i thought a lot of the cr word choice questions were really difficult, coming from someone with an 800, but as usual i struggled with math (of course i had two back to back.)

so happy i had math as experimental. thought math was somewhat easy - hoping i get 750+ on that. expecting around 750 at the very least. writing had 2-3 q’s that i had questions on, others went well.

sent completion for CR was hard for me - as well as many q’s in the passages. hoping i get a 700 …

i left 2 blank on math i was pressed for time this time which never happens… Anyone else agree?

Harder than the NOV SAT if anyone took that?
