Math HELP

In the figure above, AC = 6 and BC = 3. Point P
(not shown) lies on AB between A and B such that
CP AB. Which of the following could be the length
of CP ?
(A) 2
(B) 4
(C) 5
(D) 7
(E) 8

The figure wasn't drawn to scale so I don't think it would've mattered. Anyways, help please :) Thanks in advance :)

Is there supposed to be a symbol between CP and AB?

I’m guessing that the figure shows that ABC is a right triangle, and CP is perpendicular to AB? If my assumptions are correct, then just note that BCP is a right triangle with hypotenuse of length 3. Since the length of a leg must be less than the length of a hypotenuse, CP must be less than 3. So the only answer choice that works is choice (A).

yeah, sorry. there should’ve been a perpendicular symbol. My bad. And the answer is 2. Thank you
