Math help

I took the SAT today and I realized that I have difficulty answering the last 2 questions of every math section. I just had no idea what to do for them. What can I do to prepare for the next SAT so that I would be able to get the level 4/5 math questions right?

You might spend some time mastering the problems you know for sure how to solve so that you can work through them more quickly. Answering the questions that are easy for you first is important in managing your time. This will give you more time to spend on the more challenging questions.

Then I would work nothing but the more difficult problems so you can improve your timing.

If you have the SAT blue book (The College Board’s Official Guide to the SAT), then I would recommend going through the entire math section. Usually people on this forum say that the blue book is only useful for its practice questions, but the math review, which is in chapters 14-18, I believe, is concise and very useful, especially for those of us who need a quick reminder of some of those basic, yet easily forgotten properties.

The rest is practice, and CalcTech has suggested a great method. It’s all about increasing skill and speed. Good luck on achieving your desired score!

Thank you both for your advice!
