Math Help

Hey people, I see that a lot of other posters are putting up SAT questions that they need help with. I thought I would do so as well.

In triangle ABC, AC=6 and BC=3. Point P (not shown) lies on AB between A and B such that CP is perpendicular to AB. Which of the following could be the length of CP?
A. 2

C. 5

I just spent half an hour staring at this thing, using sine rules and trig and all that b u l l s h i t.

Consider the smaller triangle BCP. If BP and CP are perpendicular, BC must be the hypothenuse, the longest side. Since BC = 3, BP must be less than 3 --> Option A. Damn I feel stupid.
