Which one is better for admission Math I or II? MIT says any one of the math....but how can they be equal? Math I is a child's play compared to Math II. Though I have 780 in both,I am going to retake any one of these in October to get 800. Can anyone tell me are they really considered equal or not?

Thanks in advance

PS: I am going to take Physics & Chemistry in October too.....so I will choose either I or II. I am confused. Cause Math I will lessen my load.

If you retake Math I you may still get a 780 or a 790 with only one answer wrong/skipped. If you do Math II, you could get an 800 with maybe 3-4 wrong answers.

Math II looks better, and the weight is much, much better than math I, as mentioned by semaphore12. Definitely math II.

Math 2 is better. But please do not retake for 800, you might get rejected from MIT for retaking because you could come off as a perfectionist. You won’t survive at MIT with that attitude.

Math II definitely. In reality, it’s only a tiny bit harder than Math I (as long as you know up to pre-calculus and know it well).

SAT Subject Math II.

Agree completely with Dr. Google. contrary to public opinion, you dont need 800s on SAT IIs to get into MIT.

Isn’t MIT score choice anyway though? I have heard that 750 there essentially equals 800 though.

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I think I am gonna take Physics & chemistry than.

But I have another question though.
I really want to go to MIT. But I am afraid I don’t have enough ECAs[Only couple of National awards]. I will also apply to Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Dartmouth & Brown and some other universities…intended major computer science. Now as some of them are liberal arts college will it be helpful if I take Biology E/M or Literature. I am asking cause it seemed 3 subject tests are more than enough. But I am quite confused as I saw some successful applicants’ profile has up to even 9 subject tests.

Thanks again

PS : Can anybody experienced with admission advising here give me some time??
