Math I or Math II? HELP!

Hi, I'm stuck. I don't know if it'd be wiser for me to take Math I or Math II.
I'm pretty crappy at math. My SAT score went like: 700 reading, 790 writing, 640 math (ew)..
I know Math I has a harsh curve and Math II has a generous one. But I also know Math II has weird concepts like permutations (?) and things I haven't learned, even though I did take Pre Calc last year.
Also, if this relates to anything, I am terrible at geometry. The less geometry the better.

So, Math I or Math II? My goal (obviously) is to get a score somewhere like 650-750(through a miracle?)

(P.S. I'm applying to BU, Northeastern, GWU, American, etc.)

Look at which Math test the colleges you are applying to require. Sometimes, the colleges only want the Math II test, which means if you take the Math I test, it won’t count for anything.

With a 640 SAT I M, you’d be unwise to take either. Do any of those schools require a Math SAT II? If so, I would brush up on Precal terms and take Math II, since its curve is far more generous and it’s taken more seriously by colleges. However, if math is not a requirement, please don’t take a math subject test: try your hand at a History test, the Literature test, or a science test in your most recent advanced science course (physics, biology, or chemistry). It’s very unlikely that you’ll get above a 640 on either Math I or II since they’re both harder than Math on the SAT I.

Yeah, I’m taking the USH and Lit exams. I would take bio, but I soooo don’t want to… or Spanish (I’ve taken it for 7-8 years and am in AP this year) but I heard its really hard.
Blah

Haha, no need to stress. No schools except Georgetown require 3 SAT II’s - so unless you think you’re going to do bad in either Lit or USH, don’t take a Math since it appears to be your weak spot.

I’d suggest Math II, more people in general are able to handle it, and permutations (from experience) isn’t that hard of a concept to grasp. Lots of colleges no longer recognize Math I, especially not over Math II (Which oddly works out for more people that not I guess =)

Yeah, Math II sounds better to me, I guess I will just learn the extra info. :)

I’m taking 3 SAT II’s and the ACT this fall (my senior year) because I just can’t risk screwing up… odds are I will do okay on either 2/3 of the SAT IIs or the ACT… hopefully

Math II is a breeze. I think you can get 30/50 for a 700…
