What looks better ??
Math IC 800 vs Math IIC 740 ??
Or should I put both when applying to colleges ??

Mmm... I would put the Math IIC, only because it's harder than Math IC. I wouldn't put both on the application tho; instead, I would mix the Math IC score with other subject tests scores to show variation. :)

wow im gonna have to say math IC 800. thats like 99 percentile for that test and i hear the curve is bad for math ic. math iic is i dont know wut percentile but definately below 75. so eya.. although math2c is more important for selective schools.

If the application has more spaces than the number of SAT II's you've taken, include both. The colleges are going to get both scores on your official score report anyway. In terms of what looks/works better, if depends on where you are applying and what major you are applying for. If you're an engineering or science applicant at the top level schools, the colleges want to see a Math IIC because it represents a higher level of math. If its a school with numbers-driven admissions (like many large state schools), the 800 on the Math IC will work in your favor (Though it's not like your Math IIC score is bad.. it is still 700+, even if the percentils isn't that great)

Math IC looks better with the 800. i am still trying to figure out how you got an 800 IC and a 740 IIC. if it was the other way around, itd make more sense.....i suggest you retake 2c and get yourself an easy 800

Y'know, all a math score of 800 really tells colleges is that you can do arithmetic, algebra, and geometry accurately and consistently. Really sorry to break this to you, but colleges aren't going to find this as impressive as you might hope... they're just going to use it as an indicator that you're good at standardized tests. You're not going to get much more than a pat on the back, and a, "hey, we're glad you can do math."

Put either. If you want to show that you're capable of higher-level math, put the IIC score. Don't stress about test scores so long as you've achieved a certain level on them... note that the "certain level" for highly competitive colleges is around a 680 or so on each test. Over 720 or so and you absolutely don't need to worry about your scores anymore. Spend the energy and the worry on your schoolwork and your extracurriculars.

show both, what's wrong with that?
