Math Ic or IIc

What are the differences? Which is more highly regarded? I'll be applying to CMU among other places

I recieved a 750 on the Math SAT Reasoning and a 4 on the AB Calc in my junior year... how will I do?

Thanks :)

Take 2C. It's "harder," but you can miss like 8 and still get an 800. Just study for it (with Barron's, it's the best prep book for this test b/c it over-prepares you).

The curve on 1C is brutal. You miss like 2-4 and you drop out of the 700's.

really? wow ok sounds good, thanks :)

anyone disagree with this?

YEAH THE CURVE ON sat 1 IS VERY HARSH. The SAT 2 just needs a little more prep which you shpould be able to do.

ok thanks guys ... which is harder, physics or chem?

It also depends on colleges. Some colleges require you to take SAT II Math Level II if you are going to submit SAT IIs. Especially if you are planning on going into science field.

Chem doesn't really have a good curve. If you're equally strong with both, physics might be the way to go. IIC is definitely the better choice, not only because it has a better curve, but because it opens up so many more choices for schools.

k so Physics and IIC it is!

Thanks! (I wish my guidance counselor was as smart as you guys rolls eyes)

jaybee:

Math 2 is also calculator-friendly. :)

oo ok good thanks... I just signed up for Math IIc and Physics for Dec. 1 :D

Thanks everyone
