Math: if you don't simplify, (30/9 vs 10/3) Is it wrong?

Quick question, almost put 30/9 but realized it can be further simplified to 10/3

you’re fine

actually im pretty sure you have to simplify or else you dont get or lose any points since its grid in

You do NOT have to reduce fractions unless the problem specifically tells you so – which I have never seen. The only time you have to reduce is when there is not enough room to grid in the fraction as it is. For example, there isn’t enough room to grid 75/100. So in that case you would have to reduce or express as a decimal.

pckeller is correct. Only reduce if it doesn’t fit the grid.

really??? i didnt know that. hmm haha

Really! This is from CB:

"A fraction does not have to be reduced unless it will not fit the grid.

For example, 15/25 will not fit. You can grid 3/5, 6/10, or 9/15. The decimal form, .6, can also be gridded."
