[Math II] A few questions

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I have got a few questions on SAT II math questions, let's start.</p>

<p>Q: What is the degree measure of the second quadrant angle x for which <equation>
Result: sin x = 3/4 | sin x = - 3/2
The negative result is thrown away, it's not in the second quadrant - why, how do I determine this?
solution: sin 3/4 -> 48.6 degree -> 180 - 48.6 = 131.4
Why do you substract it from 180? Why isn't the solution 48.6?</equation></p>

<p>Best way to calculate distance line (parabola, etc.) - point ?
Is it this?
d = <equation set="" zero="" here=""> / sqrt(<x value="">^2 + <y value="">^2)</y></x></equation></p>
