Math II question...

Okay so I'm a junior and in AP calc at my school with an A. I want to take the Math II test. What kind of topics are on it? I took algebra 1 in 7th grade and geometry in 8th... so basically the simple math is kind of blurry to me. Will this be an issue?

Yep, it will. I’m a sophomore in pre-cal and I’ve forgotten a lot of geometry and algebra. But if your a good math student you shouldn’t have too much of a problem reviewing the concepts. Sparknotes has some online practice tests you can take to get a feel for how much you’re going to have to review… It covers Alg I - Pre-Cal.

The nice thing about math 2 is that it has a lot less basic math and a lot more advanced math. You should definitely know all of precal, and trig, but calculus will not help at all.

Yeah that’s too bad cause im actually good at calc :frowning: but okay thanks!

My D is in the exact same situation, thus will start review now on the Algebras and Geometry. She loves math. I understand Barron’s SAT Math is very good. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I took Math II last year as an AB student. Calc didn’t help at all. Most problems can be solved using simple math. Mostly trig and geometry. Review your angle relationships.
