Math II Score- Retake or Move On?

So I know I might be sounding petty, but I took the June Math Sat Subject Test and got a 780 on the Math II SAT Subject Test. I was expecting an 800 so I was a bit surprised and I don’t know if I should retake it to get an 800. Many of the top colleges, especially engineering colleges (Top ones such as Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, UC Berkeley, UMich) seem to have a lot of students that get 800s on Math II so I was wondering if a 780 is viewed unfavorably compared to an 800 (It is apparently 73rd percentile or something). Don’t get me wrong- I think that it is a good score but I don’t know if colleges will see it the same way. Is it worth it to retake?

Move on!!

What score is generally considered competitive? Below what threshold is a retake recommended for Science/Engg?

Isn’t the difference between 780 and 800 like one question wrong? And reportedly colleges are aware of this.

To be honest I’m not sure what the scoring is like

Move on. My motto is, “750 or above, it’s done.”

Agreed. Move on. If you get rejected for a 780, you would not have been accepted with an 800, IMO.

Well the difference between 780 and 800 could be 2-8 questions (estimate) because you can normally miss 6 points and still get an 800 on Math 2. If you think that it was just a stupid mistake that you did but you are naturally strong at math, just study a few days before the test and take it for the 800. But if you feel that this score was your cap or that you were lucky to get an 800, don’t take it again. In shorter words, take it if you don’t have to spend a lot of time studying!
