Math II: Terrible idea?

I just learned that you can take any subject test you want once you get there and am now thinking I should take the Math II test, so I won't have to take another subject test in June. Is that an awful idea considering I haven't prepared?

I'm pretty good at math, decent at SAT math (760 on the reasoning test). Should I go for it, or do you think I won't do well without prep?

I would at least take a practice test or two between now and Saturday to get an idea of how well you’ll do. If you take it and realize afterwards that doing so was a mistake, you’ll have to cancel all your scores for that day or else have a bad score on your record.

I’m sure people who are great at math can take the test cold and easily get an 800, but I think preparation does make a difference for most people.

I think mathII is harder than sat math and more advanced…different actually. Math I is more like sat math…JMHO

If you are planning to go into a math-related field, then Math II might be a good idea. Emphasis on “might.” However, for even the most competitive schools, and a non-math major, Math I is sufficient. Math II is quite a bit more difficult than Math I, and the curve will be based on the results of super-star math-sters.
