Math II without a graphing calculator

When I took the math II test last June, I used my $10 calculator. In my calc class this year, the school provides every student with a TI-82. Now that I finally have a graphing calculator and have seen what they can do, I feel like I could have had a much easier time on the math II test. Although I still did great (780), I now see why so many people get an 800. How much harder is the test without a graphing calculator? Should I be even more proud of my 780?

^ It wouldn't be that much harder but quite a lot more inconvenient

For example, for some hard quads, you'd need to find zeros with quadratic instead of graphing.
