Math IIc - best test prep book?

I am relatively smart, but I completely bombed my Math SAT IIs. I got a 620 and I was expecting 750+. I got a 720 on the SAT Is so I know that I am capable of doing better. What can I do to raise this score 150+ over the summer?

From what I've read around here, Barrons is good for math. However, I haven't taken the SAT II Math yet, and would also like more advice on which review book is good for me to use over the summer. I only have the Kaplan one, which I haven't even taken out of its packaging, and was wondering if I should buy another prep book from another company.

jesus christ i could honestly say the most spoken topic on these forums have been which book to use for the math iic, why don't u guys do yourself a favor by searching?

And yes its barrons supposedly although i think it is WAY to extraneous so i would definately go for kaplan or pr

Buy barron's book and meylani's tests. Barron's for hard practice and all the review you could ever need and meylani for more practice. It worked for me-790 Would have been an 800, but I made FOUR stupid errors! For example, I forgot to count 8 and 3 as factors of 24!!!

woops wrong post

there's no clear cut answer

there are probably over 300 posts here about math iic and we still don't have an answer for everybody

You have to experiment

For me the barrons was wonderful if you know what parts to skip

MEYLANI all the way...to an 800

I've never heard of meylani, but I'm glad I've finally come across these forums to get great advice from everyone.

Rusen Meylani has a book with 15 practice tests. They are a little harder than normal, but very realistic in question type. YOU NEED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!

trust me on this one.........BARRONS is the best.........i jst got an 800 with it. Pracice with abt barrons till abt a week before the exam and try to pull ur score on the practice tests upto 700.

In the last week, work with the PRINCETON REVIEW book.

Thats all u need.........and 4 added practice.....practice the online sparkntes test.

Thats all u need to do. :)

alright guys thanks a lot

princeton review , barron, kaplan, get them all and take all the practice tests

it really helps

i used barrons and got 800. The book is very very hard, i missed around half each time i took it. However, you learn a lot by going back through the whole test when you're done and making sure that you know how to do each one

I've never used any of those book things. The only type of preparing I did for math was a brush through the precalculas book a week before hand, to remember my geometry stuff. Something about geometry has always turned me off.

But that brief review a week before hand got me a 780. so...yeah.

it might not be good for you, however.

I used Kaplan...usually they give questions that are too easy, but this one ended up being fine.
