Math Iic Discussion Thread

You are mistaken topboy. Were it log2 4, the answer would be 2 just like all of the others. Remember that some of the others were: log10 100, log5 25, etc... It was definitely log2 5.

i remember the correct answer. it was log5 10

For the distance ques, i think it should be 8 *( tan (180-27)- tan(180-39) or vice vesa because ist it tan= opp/ 8???? i got 2.40 though. Pls confirm this for me!!!
Hic hic i skipped 3 so far

I don't know dramaaddict, that's what I got, but Koax and others got different answers. We're split on this one. It's not a big deal though which is right or wrong, that question counts just as much as any other question :P

it's log5 of 10, and 5.8

woa!.. I want to know my score... mmm.. I don't remember if this ¿? was in math I or II ( 'cause I took both).. : X^X lim- 0!.. what is the answer?

There was a limit question?

Yeah. It asked what x^x was approaching as x approached 0. The answer was 1

it was 1?? yes....i made a good guess..

No, it's 0.8, fix your window and you'll see

Oops, my mistake. I was looking through the memory on my calculator and I misread what I put. Yeah, the answer was log5 10
The other choices were log10 100, log2 4, -log3 1/9, all of which equal to 2.

Was that an answer choice? Because I zoomed it, saw that it didn't stop at 1, I shouldn't have picked 1 then..

its one....

If you graph x^x and adjust the window, the graph clearly shows the function reaching 1 as it approaches 0. If you use the trace function on the 83+, at .0001, y = .9991, which is basically approaching 1.

It's 1. I went to the table of the graph, and at x=0, y=1.

0^0=1 C'est simple comme bonjour.

Oh very true, Koax. That's smart.

Yes, i got 1 as well.

you can't put 0^0 power are you kidding me

the answer is 0.8, graph the calculator, set the x min at -5, x max at 5, and set the intervals at .2, and you'll see that it approaches 0.8

the answer is definitely one

From this thread, I skipped one and got 4 wrong....raw score of 44
Hopefully that's still 800
