Like many of you, I have recently discovered my SAT II scores from the collegeboard website. I am going to retake them, however I need to make a decide between math IIc and literature as both were equally poor (mid 600's).

The math IIc was difficult for me, but, considering I have the summer to prepare, do you think that would be sufficient time to prepare? More specifically, would I be able to raise it to the 700's by the test in October?

I found the literature to be easily, apparently I was mistaken as I recieved a 620. Is there really a way to prepare for the literature exam within 3 months to raise it about 100 points? Does anyone have experience or comments?

I would go for Math IIc. I took a practice test without looking at the book and got 650. Then I studied the book for a week and got a 760 in a practice test and a 740 on the real thing.

Well, I'd say it depends. If you have a good vocabulary and enjoy reading then I'd say go for the literature- there aren't too many things you have to know to do well, mostly it just requires a lot of practice. When I took my first practice test I had no end of trouble with the poetry, so I just got a book of poems and read through them. To me that seems easier then practicing all the math rules you'd need for the Math IIc, but then I am SO not a math person and you may be. Just ask yourself if you prefer Math or Reading :)
