Ok, so I have kind of weird situation :/
Last year I went on an exchange year in USA, and as I had people encouraging me to take AP's in the subjects I am good at (but at the same time didn't really know what exactly they were) I tried so hard and finally persuaded my teachers in US to let me into AP Calc. I did well in that course, but the last thing I studied from math back home before flying for USA was beginning part of pre-calc.
As we don't call math as Algebra, or Pre-calc, or Calc in Europe, but simply Math, I didn't know what they really consisted of. I just wanted to have tougher math course since pre-calc class seemed to slow at the beginning of the year. It wasn't until later, when I asked my friends back home what they were studying, that I realized I skipped one whole year of Math :( (regardless, I just sticked to Calculus as I have already started it).
So in June, I took SAT Math IIc.
And did terribly. I have never heard of many of the stuff that were on test! I picked up some Pre-calc stuff along the way doing Calculus, but that isn't enough by far :/

I am planning on retaking Math Subject test in November. And my question is:
Do you think I should take Math I?
or
Should I use some test-prep books and prepare before I take Math II again? If so, what books are the best? I found Barron's book, and "Acing the SAT Subject Tests in Math Level 1 and Level 2 (Paperback)" from Greenhall Publishing on line with good reviews, and I see CC users have several different opinions regarding Barron's.
Are there are any other books you'd recommend me? Which one gives you good explanations on Pre-calc?
Which book is the best preparing you for Math II?

Thanks in advance!
